I think that God gave some animals a natural defense. Porcupines have sharp quills to ward off attackers, the octopus can spray ink to thwart an attack. And for children, God gave them cuteness. How else can you explain how I could walk in on this freshly created mess this morning, created by my lovely daughter and not get mad. She looked at me and said, “Hi Daddy”, and I could do nothing but smile. As if that weren’t enough, when I told her we needed to clean it up, she started singing the “Clean-Up Song” and putting things away. Too cute for words.

Every Sunday morning we take Gabby to breakfast at Denny’s. She has quickly become a staff favorite, and they all tell her how cute she is. Today she had chicken for breakfast along with some “Astronaut Apple Sauce” (which has little graham cracker teddy bears in it that she loves).I’m not sure why they call it Astronaut Apple Sauce, bears aren’t very spacely, but I’m sure it makes it a more popular menu item among some kids… but I’m pretty sure Gabby’s in it for the bears. Usually when she’s done eating she likes to dance to the music playing in the restaurant. Luckily there is usually some room for her to do that!
